Receiving physical therapy treatment should not be limited to those who can get to a clinic. At Summit Physical Therapy, we are striving to stay on the cutting edge of treatment delivery by delivering physical therapy via video conferencing. Whether your work hours make a visit difficult, you are a new mother with limited time, or you are striving to practice social distancing, using telemedicine will be the answer to either continue your care or receive the care that you need.
How it works:
Call your insurance company to verify your telemedicine benefits for physical therapy. Some insurers, including Medicare, are beginning to cover the use of telemedicine for physical therapy. Please inquire for specific details on your coverage.
We highly recommend that your initial evaluation is performed in person, but due to the current circumstances, we are also able to provide evaluations via telemedicine.
A plan of care will be established between you and your physical therapist and follow up visits will be scheduled.
Your physical therapist will be able to manage your condition via education and a home exercise program that is supervised via telemedicine to ensure proper execution and progression.
